Per SLZUSD guidelines.
Students and staff are invited to participate in a voluntary costume day on October 31.
Costume Guidelines:
- Student Costumes must be worn all day and are worn at your own risk. The school and district are not liable for any damage to costumes that may occur.
- Costumes should be practical for everyday school activities. including sitting in class, recess, and independent bathroom use (e.g., no inflatable costumes).
- No scary, bloody, or gory costumes are allowed.
- Avoid disruptive items such as fake weapons, props, or accessories that might interfere with learning. This includes but is not limited to, wands, lightsabers, swords, wings, and items that make noise or light up.
- No masks or face paint are permitted.
- Footwear must be school-appropriate.
- Costumes should be respectful of all cultures and groups.
